In short: Entombed is Escape This’s 60-minute ancient Egypt escape room: search a vanished archaeologist’s study for Pharaoh Khufu’s treasure before the curse catches you. It plays at Escape This Manly (2–6 players, 9+) and Escape This Perth CBD (2–8 players, strictly 13+), from $39. Its sequel, Lost Tomb (rated 7.5/10), plays in Perth CBD.

Entombed plays on The Corso in Manly and under Hay Street Mall in Perth; Lost Tomb, the sequel, is in the same Perth basement.
Dr Smith spent his life chasing one prize: the lost treasure of Pharaoh Khufu. His last letter said he was close. Then the letters stopped, and months later nobody expects him back.
His study still stands alone in the sand, papers where he left them and an hourglass on the shelf. You have come for answers. Something in the walls would rather you left empty-handed.
That is Entombed, playing in Manly and Perth CBD. Its sequel, Lost Tomb, starts at a deserted dig in Perth CBD and goes underground.

Every party that searches the study, every question asked at the door and every move the pharaoh’s spirit makes, in Miss Plumb’s own hand. Pure invention, and no puzzle is given away.

The Lost Tomb was a 5 star immersive horror experience. The different types of puzzles made for a highly enjoyable time where we had to think outside the box. Thanks to Austin and Sam, we got a fun and concise explanation to begin the room, with responsive hints as we played. It was a great time, so I'd like to come back sometime soon.
Was able to complete the Entombed room with 3mins to spare. Was a fantastic room, definitely the best escape room I’ve done with good sound design and props. Our host Sam was also great!
Really great, did Entombed and the Allegra who was the staff on call, was great and very helpful!
Had a great experience doing the entombed escape room, and Hana was awesome. i’ve decided we all might be colour blind!
Had a great time figuring out the Entombed room. Thank you Noah for looking after us while we were there
Amazing experience! We really enjoyed Entombed and we had a great time even though we didn't make it out. Ben was really helpful at the end with going through our last steps on how to escape
Two minutes inside the study and the tomb beneath it, with the sound turned up.
Escape This designed and built both Egyptian rooms itself, and runs them. It was named Escape Room Operator of the Year in 2025 and 2026. Inside the Escape This studio & factory →

Something else: Entombed is a 60-minute ancient Egypt adventure, designed and built by Escape This, rather than a horror room. Your team is locked in the desert study of Dr Smith, an archaeologist who vanished chasing Pharaoh Khufu’s treasure, and must find what he found before his pharaoh finds you. It plays at Escape This Manly and Escape This Perth CBD, and its sequel, Lost Tomb, plays in Perth.
Entombed carries a 7 out of 10 rating from Escape This. Most clues are in plain sight; working out what they mean is the hard part. Teams with an escape room behind them suit it best, but newcomers who like a challenge do well too, and the gamesmaster sends a hint whenever you ask for one.
About an hour and a half. Entombed itself lasts 60 minutes; arriving 15 minutes early covers lockers and the briefing, and around 15 minutes afterwards lets the team catch its breath and debrief. Teams that beat the curse early leave sooner.
Entombed starts in a lamplit study with red walls, a mantel clock, a world map and stacks of expedition photographs, then gives way to sandstone, hieroglyphs, an hourglass, papyrus scrolls and a gilded sarcophagus. Escape This built every prop for its two Entombed rooms, and Manly’s was refurbished in the summer of 2025.
Lost Tomb, the sequel to Entombed, begins at a deserted archaeological camp with its artefacts untouched. A sandstorm forces your team inside a structure that turns out to predate the Pharaohs. The dig has weakened not a tomb but the last barrier against a dark god, and you must descend and restore the seal or the world falls into endless night.
Perth’s Entombed and Lost Tomb share one price list: $49 per adult and $39 per child under 16 Monday to Thursday, rising to $65 and $55 Friday to Sunday. Entombed in Manly is listed at $59 per adult and $49 per child, though some sessions show from $39 when booking. Holidays are priced separately.
Entombed takes two to six in Manly and two to eight in Perth, where Saturday sessions need at least four. Lost Tomb needs four to eight at weekends, and takes pairs and trios only on certain days and times shown in its live availability. Groups beyond the limit book a second room.
It depends on the city. Perth’s Entombed and Lost Tomb are strictly 13 and over. Manly’s Entombed is recommended from 9, and children from 7 can join a family group with a paying adult in the room. The Perth age floor is enforced when you book.
In two places. Entombed plays at Escape This Manly, 2B The Corso in Sydney’s Manly, and at Escape This Perth CBD, The Basement, 712–720 Hay Street Mall. Its sequel, Lost Tomb, is in the same Perth CBD venue. It is not at Northbridge, Sydney CBD or Melbourne.
It varies a lot by city. In Manly 87% of 2,396 recorded Entombed games ended in an escape; in Perth it is 44% of 4,058. Lost Tomb, the sequel, sits at 65% after 757 games.
They rate it highly: the Entombed rooms average 4.93 out of 5, Lost Tomb included, with 274 five-star reviews. Reviewers keep mentioning puzzles they hadn’t seen elsewhere, a story that holds the team’s attention and the hosts who run each game.
Miss Hester Plumb is Dr Smith’s fictional expedition secretary, and her field journal is a comic diary Escape This writes in her voice for its Entombed escape rooms. She keeps the vanished archaeologist’s study in Manly and Perth, follows the trail down into Lost Tomb, and each entry answers a real question, such as ages, crawl spaces or team sizes, with the true facts and a booking link beside it.

Entombed in Manly or Perth CBD, or the sequel Lost Tomb in Perth. Your team, a sealed chamber and sixty minutes.
